“Windpipes” (tracheae), an installation series that investigates the materiality of sound and its capacity to articulate memory and identity through the interaction of light, form, and vibration. A sensory and symbolic reflection on the collective voice and its connection to the land. Pieces formed from coiled air conditioning pipes create organic structures that evoke “intertwined tracheae.” Each pipe, internally illuminated, becomes a channel for both visual and auditory transmission. This acoustic amalgam generates a soundscape that transcends the individual to become a choral testimony. Thus, the work invites the viewer to listen to and contemplate the multiple voices that shape the collective identity of the place, proposing an immersive experience where word, light, matter, and territory merge.
